European and International Engagement

A Cluster with European Ambitions

AI Grand Est ENACT will leverage its unique geographic position to play a leading role at both the Franco-German and European levels. The consortium will build on the strengths of the European university alliances EURECA-PRO, UniGR, EUCOR, and EPICUR, as well as its cross-border partnerships and new collaborations with leading AI excellence networks worldwide.

Through these partnerships, AI Grand Est ENACT aims to increase the number of jointly supervised doctoral candidates, develop collaborative research projects, and contribute actively to the advancement of European AI strategies.

Beyond Europe

Beyond Europe, we will establish strategic partnerships with leading institutions in artificial intelligence. We will also identify key partners in countries that share longstanding ties with France and work alongside other French AI clusters to build an international network of universities.

Drawing on our expertise and international collaborations, we seek to enhance France’s visibility in the field of AI and attract talented students from an increasingly diverse range of backgrounds and regions.

An Attractive Mobility Program

The mobility program is designed to support our European and international ambitions. Building on existing initiatives such as Erasmus+, it offers a range of opportunities for students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and academic staff:

  • For undergraduate students: study visits to discover our AI Expert and AI+X master’s programs.
  • For master’s students: funding opportunities to undertake internships within our research laboratories.
  • For doctoral candidates: co-supervised doctoral fellowships with international partners.
  • For research teams: a three-year collaborative research program with strategic partner institutions.
  • For researchers based abroad: ENACT International Chair appointments of three to five years.
