Located at the crossroads of four European countries and intersected by four of the nine major European transport corridors, the Grand Est region stands out for its unique position at the heart of Europe’s most densely populated and economically dynamic areas.

While its industrial culture remains a key component of its identity and heritage, Grand Est has undergone significant transformations since the end of the 20th century. In particular, it has strengthened its capacities in education, research, and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), notably within its three main cities: Nancy, Metz, and Strasbourg.
